This stunning 1958 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia “Lowlight” Cabriolet has remained in the same family since its first registration on December 10, 1958. A complete nut-and-bolt restoration was carried out in 2012, during which every component was meticulously rebuilt to original specifications, preserving its factory color combination inside and out.
While the original 1200cc engine and gearbox have been carefully preserved and stored, the car currently runs on a Wolfsburg-sourced 1600cc engine paired with a Richert carburetor system, producing an estimated 70–75 horsepower for improved performance.
To enhance modern drivability and safety, the car has been fitted with front disc brakes, three-point seat belts, and headrests — thoughtful upgrades that maintain the car’s authenticity while improving the driving experience.
