⚙️ Performance & Powertrain
This 1965 Buick Riviera underwent a comprehensive, show-quality restomod completed in 2019, transforming it into a modern performance grand tourer while maintaining its timeless mid-century design. Under the hood lies a supercharged 6.2-liter LS3 V8, managed by Holley Terminator X engine controls and paired with a 4L70E four-speed automatic transmission and a 3.23:1 rear axle.
The build includes a custom stainless-steel exhaust system with 2.5″ headers and Stainless Works mufflers, along with a Walbro fuel pump, Billet Specialties water pump, and MSD ignition components. The valve covers are finished in gray Cerakote, while an Optima battery sits beneath a custom enclosure for a clean presentation.
🛞 Chassis & Suspension
The Riviera rides on a fully upgraded chassis featuring RideTech air suspension, providing adjustable ride height and a comfortable, composed driving experience. A front sway bar and adjustable rear Panhard bar sharpen handling, while power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors ensure confident stopping power.
The car sits on staggered Schott Cover-Loc “Accelerator” billet wheels—18″ in front and 20″ at the rear—finished in titanium with polished accents and wrapped in Nitto NT555 G2 performance tires (245/40 front, 305/35 rear).
🖤 Exterior
The Riviera’s body was smoothed and refinished in deep black, with the front cowl filled and the antenna, emblems, rocker trim, and lower grille trim deleted for a cleaner, modernized look. The vertical grille elements were refinished in black, further accentuating the car’s aggressive, monochromatic aesthetic. The result is a sleek, minimalist silhouette that honors the original design while adding contemporary flair.
💎 Interior
Inside, the cabin showcases Southern Vine Green Relicate Napali leather throughout, expertly crafted by Cato’s Custom Upholstery in Tucker, Georgia. Both front and rear power-adjustable bucket seats were rebuilt with new cushions, and the dashboard and door panels were trimmed to match.
Additional highlights include:
-
Dark Charcoal Finetuft velour carpeting
-
Walnut-rimmed Gran Sport steering wheel, refinished in black
-
Custom Classic Instruments gauges (140-mph speedometer, oil, coolant, amperage, and fuel)
-
Aftermarket climate control with discreet console-mounted knob
-
Kicker Bluetooth-capable stereo system
The odometer currently shows 1,600 miles, reflecting the limited use since the build was completed.
🎒 Trunk & Accessories
The trunk compartment is fully upholstered in matching green leather and includes a four-piece custom luggage set by Laurent Nay of Broût-Vernet, France, inspired by the Mercedes-Benz 300SL, adding a bespoke finishing touch.
