1965 Dodge Coronet 500 – Edelbrock Intake, Holley 750, Comp Cam, Bucket Seats, Reupholstered Interior
This 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 is a strong-running example that has been thoughtfully upgraded and maintained. Power comes from a 383ci V8 (’83 nominal) paired with a 727 automatic transmission and a host of performance and mechanical improvements. The engine is topped with an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap intake manifold and a Holley 750cfm 4160 carburetor with a secondary metering block. A Comp Cams 284 grind camshaft adds a loping idle and strong mid-range power. Hedman headers feed a dual-exhaust setup, and the car features power steering and a dual-master cylinder brake system with drums at all four corners.
Finished in a classic color with straight panels, the Coronet retains its clean ’60s styling and rides on a set of new wheels and tires. Inside, the original bucket seats and rear bench have been reupholstered, and the center console remains in place. Additional cosmetic and mechanical refurbishments include rebuilt door hinges, new under-dash wiring harness, and a refreshed fuel system, including a new tank, sending unit, and pump.
The cabin is further updated with a new carpet set, weather stripping, sill plates, C-pillar and console lights, and functional tachometer and auxiliary gauges. Recent mechanical service also includes a new heater core, water pump, turn signal switch, and horn relay.
Showing just over 43k miles, this Coronet 500 is said to have had three owners since new and is now offered in solid driver condition—ready to enjoy as-is or take to the next level.
