402-Powered 1970 Chevrolet El Camino 4-Speed
This 1970 Chevrolet El Camino was acquired by the seller in 2017 and subsequently refurbished, including a repaint in green with white stripes, the installation of a replacement 402ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and updates to the interior, suspension, and braking system. Equipment includes a cowl hood, SS badging, 15″ American Racing VN501 wheels, front disc brakes, a Weiand intake manifold, and a Holley four-barrel carburetor.
Originally finished in Forest Green, the pickup was repainted during the refurbishment completed in 2021. Exterior features include quad headlights, a drop-down tailgate, and white hood stripes. The seller states that the glass and seals were replaced, and the rear window and door glass have been tinted.
The 15″ American Racing VN501 wheels are mounted with 245/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The interior was refreshed with black vinyl upholstery, including bucket seats sourced from a 2018 Camaro SS. Additional updates included replacing the dash pad, headliner, door panels, and carpets. A Hurst shifter is installed, and the seller notes that the Custom Autosound stereo is not connected.
The two-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket wrap and frames instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. An aftermarket oil-pressure gauge is mounted below the dash. The five-digit odometer shows one mile, with total mileage unknown.
The replacement 402ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt during the refurbishment and is topped with a Weiand aluminum intake manifold and a Holley four-barrel carburetor.
This El Camino is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
