This 1998 AM General Hummer H1 HMCS Wagon is the result of an extreme, no-expense-spared frame-off restoration and build, executed to an exceptionally high standard. Built for durability, capability, and refinement, this H1 was stripped down to the frame rails and comprehensively rebuilt using premium components throughout. Every detail was addressed with the goal of creating one of the most thoroughly sorted H1s on the road.
The chassis was completely disassembled, sandblasted to SSPC-SP10, and powder-coated, with every structural bolt chemically stripped and yellow cadmium plated and all non-structural fasteners replaced with stainless steel. Suspension and steering systems were fully rebuilt and upgraded, including Rubber Duck 4×4 PSC hydraulic steering, new springs, shocks, ball joints, and tie rods.
Power comes from a brand-new P400 6.5L Humvee crate engine, featuring upgraded fuel injection, marine injectors, an upgraded turbo, intercooling, and a stainless 4-inch exhaust. The drivetrain is completed by a rebuilt and upgraded 4L80E automatic transmission, OEM transfer case, ARB air lockers front and rear, new differentials, upgraded geared hubs, ECV half shafts, and heavy-duty Wilwood braking components. Rolling stock consists of 39.5” Super Swamper Iroks mounted on military wheels.
The aluminum body was stripped bare and refinished inside and out, with Line-X applied to the underside, hood, and interior deck, followed by a custom Titanium Silver paint finish. The interior features custom leather upholstery, upgraded trim, and a fully integrated high-end audio/video system, complete with premium Alpine, Audison, Focal, and JL Audio components, backup camera, remote start, and security system.
